Ramon Coronel started working for MRD in 1998 as a shop helper while in high school. After high school and during the summer break from college, he worked his way into a full-time driller position and blasting assistant. He graduated in 2006 from the University of Washington with a BA in Business Administration. There was an opportunity to utilize his past working experience with MRD and he started full-time in 2006 as a Project Manager and Estimator. He currently heads our Washington Division where he travels around the Northwest and beyond making sure jobs are going well and providing estimates for customers. What he enjoys most about MRD is the continued advancement in technology our company has been able to implement, and being around the employees that take ownership in MRD. He thrives on the challenge of coming up with solutions for difficult projects. “It’s a great achievement when you can get with our employees and customers and come up with solutions to get the job done safely and efficiently,” he says. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys as well as traveling, spending time outdoors, skiing, and golfing.
