Tyler grew up looking at pits and hiding in loader buckets while his dad blasted shots in the woods, but has officially been with McCallum Rock Drilling since 2007. At MRD he oversees operations for both MRD and McCallum Powder and works on new business and sales for both companies. Tyler loves that although our company has grown substantially over the last few years, it still feels very much like the small family business his parents ran for a long time. He says the most rewarding thing about working at MRD is hands down the people he gets to work with on a daily basis. Tyler says, “This industry is not for the faint of heart and everyone we work around are salt of the earth, honest, hard-working people. Not only our employees but our customers and our vendors are all great people. We have a lot of employees that have been with us for a long time, and many more we look forward to having with us for a long time.” Tyler says technology and innovation are a cornerstone of the growth and success of our company and he enjoys finding more efficient ways to do the job. When not at work he enjoys thinking about work and what we can be doing to improve, spending time with his wife and two kids, and golfing.
