Joe has worked at McCallum Powder since 2016. He started as a Safety Compliance Officer, then went onto be our Operations Manager, and now he is Personnel Development Manager for both McCallum Rock and McCallum Powder. In his current role Joe facilitates training opportunities that support the professional growth and career advancement of employees, implements programs that encourages the ongoing development of our safety programs, promotes the recruitment and retention of high level talent, and researches new technologies that align with McCallum’s shared values and business needs. He says working for MRD has been an “extremely advantageous career choice” and he loves that every day presents a new and unique challenge that he finds to be both valuable and rewarding. Joe finds trust, empathy and a positive attitude to be some of the most important attributes someone can express which makes working for MRD both easy and satisfying. When Joe is not at work he enjoys mountaineering and solving puzzles.
